DESCRIPTION
This test measures amounts of the omega 3 and omega 6 series fats in red blood cells (these fats are found in fish oil and evening primrose oil). These are very common deficiencies and I recommend supplementing with EFAs routinely.

The kit for this test includes a lavender top blood tube, packaging materials for transporting the blood sample in the post, a request form and a pre-paid envelope.
INSTRUCTIONS
To complete the test: have the blood taken; make sure that your name and date of birth are clearly marked on the blood tube. Check that your details are correct on the request form. Using the packaging material provided prepare the sample for posting in the enclosed envelope. Please, make sure that the request form is sent along with the samples.
It is essential that the sample arrives at the laboratory within 24 hours of having been taken, so it's best to arrange an early morning appointment with a nurse to take blood.. Also, do not post the sample on a Friday.
